Abergavenny Auto Club ran their trial at Cwm-y-oy, Llanvihangel Crucorney last Sunday. Heavy overnight rain made the sections slippery in places but the rain gave way to a dry day for the 7 sections to be tackled over four laps.
On the sportsman route Dai Clothier dropped just 6 marks to come out on top over Chris Payne, with Francis Walters finishing 3rd.
The youth sportsman route was convincingly won by Robert Walters, from Joe Evans Luther with Lloyd Roberts just pipping brother Jake for third and forth.
Clubman route winner was evergreen Martin Jones winning a tie breaker (14 to 12 cleans) from “Welsh Trials.com,s” Dai Collins both finishing on 29 each with J Stanfield just missing out finishing 3rd on 30. Only Alister Bedford tackled the expert route, putting on a controlled riding display able to find grip on his 200 Beta. Thanks to all the observers hope to see you all and a few more riders at Abergavenny Auto Club’s next event, their Xmas trial on the 27th of December 2010 at the Hendre, Llangatock Lingoed, to be followed with food in the Pub after the trial.
