East South Wales Centre Championship Trial 4th September 2011 at Llwyn Celin, Cwmyoy,  Abergavenny was blessed with a fine sunny day and a good entry who enjoyed 10 sections over 4 laps around a large loop.
Sections were set out traditionally giving a choice of lines on the climbs and rocks that make up this popular venue, previously used for the Mitchel and for numerous years as a round of the youth British Trials Championships.
Top of the shop on the Expert course was Pontypool youth rider Joel Edwards who cleaned the first two laps before dropping 5 marks on the final two circuits, visiting rider Kurt Brian got off to the worst start with a five in the first expert section of day when one of the many lose rocks rolled and caught him out but put it behind him and completed the rest of the day for a total of 11 marks edging Alistair Bedford into third on 14 marks.
The clubman masters rode the expert route on the first 5 sections before dropping back onto the clubman route for the remaining 5. Martin Jones lost 9 marks taking the win from fellow Merthyr rider Nick Morgan with Gary Morgan third.
Clubman route winner Harold Fenn finished the day on  just two marks taking an easy win over Dai Colither with Dai Bediford third.
Leam Fenn was the only schoolboy on the clubman route dropping 5 more than dad finishing on 7.
The sportsman masters tackled the first 5 sections of the clubman route with Rob Ransone on 8 taking 1st on most cleans after a tie break with Gary Williams and Carl Mac third.
Youth rider Joe Evans Luther also completed the sports man masters for 8.
Andrew Holvey lost 6 to win the sportsman class with Garry “new bike” Jones taking another tie break for 2nd from Gavin Morris in third.
Sportsman schoolboy winner was Jackson Elder from Sonny Parker and Jake Roberts rounding out the top three.
